What this site stores
Your cart, your checkout details, and your past orders are kept in your own browser's
localStorage, under the verax.* keys. They stay on your device:
clearing your browser data deletes them permanently, and they are not readable from any other
device or by us.
Card details are never stored. When an order is placed, only the last four digits are kept, in the same local record.
What we collect to fulfil an order
- Contact and delivery details, to prepare and ship the order.
- Order history, to handle returns and re-orders.
- Payment status from the payment provider — never the card number itself.
Third parties
Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of that request. Card payments are processed by Stripe, which receives the details you enter in its own payment form — they never pass through this site.
Advertising measurement
This site uses the Meta pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure how well our ads work. Both describe the same actions — pages viewed, items added to the cart, checkouts started, orders placed — one from your browser, one from our server. Each event is sent with a shared identifier so that Meta counts it once rather than twice.
The pixel stores two cookies on your device, _fbp and _fbc, which
identify your browser and the ad you arrived from. Where you have given us contact details —
an email address, a name, a delivery address — they are sent alongside the event
hashed with SHA-256, never in clear text: Meta can tell whether it already
knows that hash, but cannot read the address itself. Your IP address and browser user agent
are also transmitted, as the measurement requires. For a card order, these identifiers are
stored with the payment record at Stripe so the order can be reported once the payment is
confirmed.
Meta acts as an independent controller for this data. Its own handling is described in the Meta Privacy Policy.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to its processing. Data kept locally in your browser can be removed at any time by clearing your browser storage — no request needed.
You can switch off the advertising measurement described above for this browser. The choice is stored on your device: the Meta script is then never loaded and no event is sent.
