The short version

This site runs the Meta advertising pixel on every page. It sets a cookie in your browser and reports your visit to Meta Platforms, both from your browser and from this server. It loads no other analytics and no other third-party trackers.

The pixel fires as soon as a page loads, without asking you first. If you would rather it did not, a tracker-blocking extension or a browser that blocks third-party requests will stop the browser half; the server half can be stopped by blocking requests to verax-research.com/capi.php.

What is processed

Serving a web page requires the hosting provider to receive your IP address and request headers. These appear in ordinary server logs, are used to deliver the page and to keep the service running, and are not combined with anything else, not enriched, and not shared.

The lookup tool runs entirely in your browser. The reference records are embedded in the page at build time; typing an identifier sends nothing anywhere and no query is recorded.

Third parties

Meta Platforms

Every page loads the Meta pixel, which sets a _fbp cookie identifying your browser and reports two events — a page view, and a content view naming the page you are reading. If you arrived from a Meta advertisement, the click identifier is recorded too, in a _fbc cookie.

The same two events are also sent from this server through Meta's Conversions API, carrying your IP address, your user-agent string, the address of the page, and those same cookie identifiers. Sending them twice is deliberate: it means the report still reaches Meta when the browser half is blocked. The two copies share an identifier so Meta counts one visit, not two.

Meta uses this to attribute advertising and to build audiences. Its own handling of the data is governed by its policies, not by this page.

Google Fonts

Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Google receives the IP address making that request. It can be eliminated by self-hosting the font files.

What is not done

• No account, login or user identifier of any kind.
• No newsletter, no email capture, no contact form.
• No data sold, rented, brokered or transferred for marketing.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data held about you. In practice this covers the server log entry, the pixel cookies, and the events sent to Meta. Requests are handled at the contact address published by the operator, and you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
